Ieoh Ming Pei (pronounced "pay") is one of the most famous American architects in the world.  Two of his most famous designs are the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and a new entrance for the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. 

Kristi Yamaguchi [yah-ma-goo-chee] is one of the world's greatest figure skating champions.  During her career she won twenty United States and World titles as a singles skater and four U.S.  and World titles as a pairs skater. 

In 1989, Le Ly (pronounced "lay lee") Hayslip returned home to her village in Vietnam.  She slept in her family's two-room house for the first time in more than 20 years.  She came to speak at a celebration to open the first medical clinic ever built in her village.  Le Ly had worked hard to raise the money needed to build this clinic. 

Listening to Yo-Yo Ma play the cello in concert is magical.  He springs onto the stage with youthful energy.  He greets the audience and the orchestra with a warm smile.
